Kaliyoottu is a multi day long brilliant society custom which been acts the battle between goddess durga and the evil spirit darika. The custom is acted in various stages. The peak of the play - the custom called paranettu - is performed on an extraordinarily developed 100 feet high stage on the eighth day.
