Kavadiyattam is a ceremonial dance structure performed by enthusiasts. The gathering of lovers wearing radiant yellow or saffron outfits with debris spread everywhere on the body dance in a craze conveying kavadis on their shoulders. Kavadis are brilliant bow molded wooden designs rising six to ten feet tall. The ambalakavadi is organized and designed like a sanctuary. The pookavadi has groups of brilliant, paper, material or plastic blossoms orchestrated on them. The reverberating beats of percussion instruments like udukku and chenda and the nadaswaram are normal for the kavadi parade. It is normally offered in subramanya sanctuaries.
